Rivers are generally wider at the lower reaches of the rivers and the quantity of water is larger. The current is slower and the slope is more even.
The Hout Bay rivers meander somewhat at the lower reaches. In the lower reaches of the Hout Bay Rivers there should not be too many tall trees.
Vegetation should be more grass and shrub like as the rivers feed into wetlands and the estuary. In the rivers you’ll notice small round stones, sand and silt.
